McClinton Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2034
The Westside Road Warriors may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 3-2 to the Bel Air Princes, but Mal McClinton continued to hit like a god.
The second baseman collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"McClinton is playing great and is on fire right now," Road Warriors manager Wilfred Brooks said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
McClinton was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Mal McClinton walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year McClinton has hit at a .321 clip with 150 hits, 10 home runs, 48 RBIs and 72 runs scored.
