Boise Blanked by Mullin
Tuesday, August 15th, 2034
It wasn't easy but the San Angelo Mustangs made it look that way.
Starter Gabriel Mullin shut out the Boise Bloodhounds despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the San Angelo Mustangs cruised to victory, 10-0. Mullin allowed only 5 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
Thus far this season, Mullin has worked 80.1 innings with 62 strikeouts en route to a 7-4 record and a 3.36 ERA.
