Hensley Tosses Shutout
Sunday, August 13th, 2034
In an outstanding mound performance, San Angelo Mustangs starter John Hensley fired a complete-game shutout against the St. Paul Saints at Saints Ballpark today.
Hensley was the key to the Mustangs's 14-0 win. The 22-year-old left-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 5 hits and 4 walks he allowed.
"5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."
Hensley has made 21 starts this season, posting 8 wins and 8 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .249 against him and he has 121 strikeouts in 142 innings with a 3.42 ERA.
