Year Ends for Rey Luera in Chippewa Sunday, August 13th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Rey Luera of the Chippewa River Chiefs didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Luera sustained his season-ending injury during the Winfield Warriors game yesterday at The Barn. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Chippewa medical staff reported Luera had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. |
