San Angelo Loses Acevedo for Year Wednesday, July 12th, 2034 Playoff hopes of Mustangs player Alex Acevedo have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff throwing a pitch in today's game against Boise Bloodhounds. Acevedo is expected to miss up to 7-8 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. So far this season, Acevedo has logged a 7-4 record with a 4.15 ERA. He has started 18 games, hurled 104 innings and registered 92 strikeouts and 37 walks. |
