DML Star of the Week Named Monday, July 10th, 2034 26-year-old Tony Maciel made a few Westside headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Donnie Moore League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 17 at-bats to put up a .529 average. Maciel collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 9 runs. For the year Maciel is batting .330 with 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 60 runs scored. |
