Martínez Red-Hot, LBL Player of the Week Monday, July 3rd, 2034 Lyman Bostock League pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop José Martínez, but to no avail. His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .478 for the week to win the LBL Player of the Week Award. The Kingwood second baseman cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, drove in 4 runs and scored 5 times. This year Martínez is hitting .318 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs to his credit.
