Mattson, Warkentin Receive 8-Game Suspensions Thursday, April 20th, 2034 Boise and New Orleans were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 8-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Grand Canyon Valley Park. For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Bloodhounds Eric Mattson and the Jedi Knights Brian Warkentin will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served. So far this season Mattson has hit .143 with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and scored 2 times. |
