River Chiefs End Petrelia's Streak Wednesday, October 12th, 2033 The Okanagan Lake Monsters lost to the Chippewa River Chiefs 2-1 today at The Reservation, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Domingo Petrelia's 21-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Petrelia, we would win the game," River Chiefs manager Eric Rice explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." In the 2033 season Petrelia is hitting .318 with 10 home runs. |
