Season Ends for Brad Leys of St. Petersburg
Sunday, October 9th, 2033
The season is apparently over for Brad Leys. The St. Petersburg Pelicans medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 10 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Leys was hurt in the game against Palm Beach while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
To date this season, Leys has registered 21 starts, 8-7 won-lost mark, 3.31 ERA, 122.1 IP, 122 strikeouts and 40 walks. Opposing teams have hit .265 against him.
