AHL's Top Hitter Selected Saturday, October 1st, 2033 Steve Pollard has a lot going for him. The Stroudsburg left fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Donnie Moore League has just picked him as its top hitter for September. In 26 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .340 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Pollard is batting .297 this season in 136 games with 18 home runs, 79 RBIs and 81 runs scored. He has 154 hits in 518 at-bats. |
