It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Shoya Wada today. Wada went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Okanagan pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Elks Stadium, he had a 5-for-9 line and a day he will long remember. And the Coney Island Cyclones had a 9-5 victory over the Lake Monsters.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Shoya Wada singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th, singled in the 13th, struck out in the 15th and hit a two-run double in the 16th.

Wada is hitting .273 so far this season with 53 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 109 hits including 10 home runs, 52 walks and .355 OBP.
