Bel Air's van der Molen AHL's Best Monday, September 19th, 2033 20-year-old Gerben van der Molen made a few Bel Air headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Donnie Moore League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .474 average. van der Molen collected 1 home run, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season van der Molen is batting .305 with 74 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 35 times and has 29 runs batted in. |
