Week's Top Performer Honored by AHL Monday, September 5th, 2033 So far in his young career, Hiroshi Kono has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Donnie Moore League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Brisbane Bush Wackers right fielder hit at a torrid .727 clip as he collected 8 hits in 11 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 2 runs scored. This season Kono is hitting at a .332 pace with 12 home runs, 43 RBIs and has scored 35 times. |
