Cyclones Aaron Hoffmann to Miss Year
Saturday, September 3rd, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Aaron Hoffmann of the Coney Island Cyclones didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hoffmann sustained his season-ending injury during the Palm Beach Bums game yesterday at Coney Island Coliseum. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the Coney Island medical staff reported Hoffmann had a ruptured disc and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

For the season Hoffmann is batting .138 with 9 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 4 times and batted in 1.
