Hampton Sparkles, Blanks Chippewa Wednesday, August 17th, 2033 Troy Hampton held the Chippewa River Chiefs to 7 hits and fashioned a fine 1-0 shutout at Coney Island Coliseum today. Speaking after the game, Coney Island Cyclones manager Gerald Pugh said "Hampton had everything going for him today." He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful." Hampton rung up 7 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Chippewa manager Eric Rice told reporters.
