Garza Gone for Season in Eugene Saturday, August 13th, 2033 A blow for Miguel Garza today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5-6 months with a broken kneecap. Garza suffered the injury running the bases. Although officials from the Eugene Emeralds are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Garza's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. For the season Garza is currently batting .208 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. In 34 games he has reached base at a .295 rate and scored 13 runs to date. |
