Donnie Moore League Selects Best Performer
Monday, August 8th, 2033
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Donnie Moore League, but last week John Bloom of the Houston Sting reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Bloom rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (10-for-20), 4 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award.
Looking at his stats this year, Bloom has compiled a .328 batting average, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 52 runs. He has played in 82 games and scored 47 runs.
