López Sharp, Whitewashes Bloodhounds Sunday, August 7th, 2033 The Boise Bloodhounds struggled at the plate today against River Chiefs hurler José López, who shackled them on 2 hits while hurling a complete game 7-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Bloodhounds skipper Nick Brown in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." López finished the game with 13 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," Chippewa manager Eric Rice said. "José made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." To this point in the season López has 10 wins and 10 losses and a 4.25 ERA.
