The 22-year-old Ruiz helped lift New Orleans to a 12-4 win over the Boise Bloodhounds today at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Ruiz smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club to victory. Edwin Ruiz flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jesus Sanchez in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
