Wheeler Pounds AHL Pitchers This Week Monday, July 25th, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Donnie Moore League, but last week Josh Wheeler of the Houston Sting reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Wheeler rocked opposing pitching for a .533 average (8-for-15), 2 home runs and 3 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season Wheeler is hitting .344, batted in 47 runs with 6 home runs and 34 runs scored. |
