Vargas Punishes AHL Pitchers This Week Monday, July 18th, 2033 It was a fantastic week for St. Petersburg first baseman Jordan Vargas and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Donnie Moore League Player of the Week Award. Last week Vargas hammered the ball at a torrid .593 pace, going 16-for-27 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. In this current campaign Vargas is hitting at a .218 clip with 3 home runs and 33 RBIs. |
