Just ask Jose Rodriguez, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Bethesda Hornets reliever, 20, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .162 average and walked away with the Donnie Moore League Pitcher of the Month award for June. Rodriguez posted a 4-0 mark and a 2.50 ERA in no relief appearances. In 39.2 innings, he had no saves, 48 strikeouts, and 13 walks. This year Rodriguez has no saves, totaled 103.1 innings, allowed 79 base hits and fashioned a 3.66 ERA while racking up 102 strikeouts and a record of 8 wins and 2 losses. |
