Hot Bat Cooled, Jing Hitless Against Bums Saturday, June 18th, 2033 Brisbane right fielder Yeow-whye Jing experienced something against the Palm Beach Bums he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Bums pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Bush Wackers to a 2-0 victory at Envoys Ballpark. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Jing joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." So far in 2033 Jing is batting .444 with 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 90 at-bats and a .480 OBP. |
