Jing Stretches Hit String to 20

The Brisbane Bush Wackers stopped the St. Petersburg Pelicans today 5-2 and Yeow-whye Jing collected a base hit yet again. The Brisbane right fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Jing told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Yeow-whye Jing singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This year Jing has socked 36 hits in 81 at-bats for a .444 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .472 pace and his totals also include 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
