Great Week for Boise's Ed Villegas Monday, June 13th, 2033 So far in his young career, Ed Villegas has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Lyman Bostock League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Boise Bloodhounds shortstop hit at a torrid .667 clip as he collected 10 hits in 15 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 2 runs scored. In this current campaign Villegas is hitting at a .357 clip with 1 home run and 16 RBIs. |
