Fernandez Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, June 5th, 2033 The hitting streak for Westside left fielder Omar Fernandez now stands at 20 games, but the Road Warriors dropped today's contest 9-2 to the Bethesda Hornets. Fernandez went 2-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Omar Fernandez flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Starring in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Fernandez is hitting .319 this year with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .410, 19 walks and scored 14 times. |
