Bethesda's Morgan AHL Top Pitcher Wednesday, June 1st, 2033 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Jamie Morgan, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Bethesda Hornets reliever, 21, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .255 average and walked away with the Donnie Moore League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Morgan posted a 0-0 mark and a 1.26 ERA in 15 relief appearances. In 14.1 innings, he had 12 saves, 13 strikeouts, and 3 walks. Season-to-date Morgan has 19 saves in 27 relief appearances with a 1-0 record and 0.98 ERA. |
