Westside Left Fielder Nets AHL Award Monday, May 30th, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Donnie Moore League, but last week Omar Fernandez of the Westside Road Warriors reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Fernandez rocked opposing pitching for a .481 average (13-for-27), 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. A look at his current stats shows Fernandez with a .292 average, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 34 games. |
