AHL Names Best Player Monday, May 16th, 2033 22-year-old Dan Stoner made a few St. Petersburg headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Donnie Moore League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Stoner collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this season Stoner is hitting .300 with 3 home runs. |
