Mustangs Whitewash Jedi Knights, Buenvenida Winner Wednesday, May 11th, 2033 In an outstanding mound performance, San Angelo Mustangs starter Emílio Buenvenida fired a complete-game shutout against the New Orleans Jedi Knights at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium today. Buenvenida was the key to the Mustangs's 5-0 win. The 21-year-old left-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 1 hit and 1 walk he allowed. "1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." Buenvenida has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 3-1 record with a 2.77 ERA.
