Manager Ornelas Told to Take a Hike by Charleston
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2033
All is not well in Charleston.
Pedro Ornelas's tenure as the Panthers skipper might end up being remembered more for a memorable exit than for anything he accomplished on the baseball diamond.
Ornelas was fired as the manager of the Charleston Panthers today and didn't take the news particularly well. Upon hearing of his termination, Ornelas immediately went to the owner's office, where he laid into the Panthers primary decision-maker with an expletive-filled tirade behind closed doors.
"He called me most every name in the book. It wasn't pretty," said Charleston owner The owner of the Charleston Panthers. "I'd say Pedro was simply reacting in the heat of the moment. Overall though, I would have preferred a classier exit."
After his verbal ambush of the team owner, Ornelas stormed out of the stadium and was not immediately available for comment.
Club officials have scheduled a meeting tomorrow to appoint an interim manager and begin the search for Ornelas's replacement.
