Martín Pérez Hurt, Out for Year Sunday, September 17th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Martín Pérez of the Biloxi Bullets didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Pérez sustained his season-ending injury during the Cincinnati Snaps game yesterday at The Studio. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Biloxi medical staff reported Pérez had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 14-15 months. This season Pérez has made 31 relief appearances, pitched 24.1 innings and struck out 24 with a record of 1 win and 5 losses. He has compiled a 6.66 ERA and saved 0 games. |
