Buzzard's Bay's Perez Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, September 3rd, 2034 Gil Perez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Coliseum. The Buzzard's Bay catcher had a field day in the 22-19 triumph over the Sandy Springs Spartans, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Perez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Gil Perez hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
