Year Over for Hellcats Domínguez
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2034
Jacksonville shortstop Alonso Domínguez could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured achilles tendon. He exited yesterday's Frisco game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Domínguez would be out 6-7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This year Domínguez is hitting .250 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs in 60 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .353 with 29 walks and 35 runs scored.
