RHL Awards Best Batter Prize to Yamashita Monday, August 14th, 2034 So far in his young career, Keisaku Yamashita has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Roy Halladay League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Sandy Springs Spartans catcher hit at a torrid .550 clip as he collected 11 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. On the year Yamashita is hitting .373 with 93 hits, 16 home runs, 47 RBIs, .434 OBP and has scored 51 runs. |
