Year Ends for Diego Castro in Cincinnati
Tuesday, August 8th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Diego Castro of the Cincinnati Snaps didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Castro sustained his season-ending injury during the Fraser Valley Black Bears game yesterday at The Stetson Bowl. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Cincinnati medical staff reported Castro had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.
This season Castro has 4 wins and 9 losses and a 3.96 ERA.
