Cruz Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, August 5th, 2034 Daniel Cruz of the Pacifica Shamrocks extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 4-3 triumph over the Riverside Red Bulls at Red Bull Stadium. "Daniel has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Shamrocks manager Joe Leftwich joked after the game. Daniel Cruz flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the season, Cruz is hitting at a .356 clip with 21 home runs, 74 RBIs and has scored 68 runs. He has 113 hits, 62 walks and a .465 on-base percentage. |
