Rivera Gone for Season in Fraser Valley
Friday, July 28th, 2034
A blow for Jesús Rivera today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with a torn rotator cuff. Rivera suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Fraser Valley Black Bears are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Rivera's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.

So far this year Rivera has made 20 starts, tossed 118.1 innings, struck out 92 batters and walked 46. His record is 8-4 with a 4.26 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .282 batting average.
