3-Game Suspension for Torres Thursday, July 27th, 2034 Rock River Rats shortstop Mario Torres was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the DeKalb Cornhuskers. "I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Torres said. He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes. After his ejection, Torres went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed." For the season Torres is hitting .275, batted in 27 runs with 3 home runs and 42 runs scored. |
