Cornhuskers End Torres's Streak Thursday, July 13th, 2034 Lady Luck was not on the side of Emanuel Torres or his teammates today at The Stetson Bowl. Everything went the way of the DeKalb Cornhuskers, who not only came away with the 2-0 victory over Fraser Valley, but also held Torres hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 23-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Torres said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." So far this year Torres has hit .312 with 4 home runs, 29 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
