Chavez Voted Best RHL Pitcher in June Saturday, July 1st, 2034 It doesn't happen often, but it did in June: A reliever, Angel Chavez, has been named the top pitcher in the Roy Halladay League. The Topeka bullpen ace starred with no saves in no relief appearances, logging 33.1 innings, 25 strikeouts, 20 walks and a 2.97 ERA. Chavez finished the month with 4 wins and 1 loss -- and was the league's number one hurler. So far this year Chavez has been credited with no saves, registered a 2.83 ERA and struck out 73 in 89 innings. He also has a 9-3 record. |
