Red-Hot June Lands Cruz Batting Prize in CLL
Saturday, July 1st, 2034
It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 22 Daniel Cruz has a lot of baseball ahead of him.
But for now the young Pacifica Shamrocks star can enjoy the numbers he put up in June, which have garnered him the nod as the Cory Lidle League Batter of the Month.
His breakout month featured a .411 average with 10 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
This season Cruz is swinging the bat at a .340 rate with 69 hits in 203 at-bats. To date he has hit 16 home runs, scored 46 runs and driven in 50.
