Tune-Ups Kakuta Out Rest Of Season Sunday, June 25th, 2034 Youngstown closer Sachi Kakuta could miss the remainder of the season because of a sore shoulder. He exited yesterday's Biloxi game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Kakuta would be out 4 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." This year Kakuta has made 27 relief appearances and saved 10. His record is 2-2 with 22 strikeouts in 26.1 innings and a 4.78 ERA. |
