Burr's 21-Game Hit Streak Ends Friday, June 9th, 2034 The Spokane Bulldogs did something to Ed Burr no team had done for the last 21 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Rats, who came away with the 4-3 victory at The Kennel. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 22-year-old center fielder said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted." Looking at his present stats, Burr has compiled a .393 batting average in 24 games with a .454 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 18 runs. |
