Burr's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, June 7th, 2034 Ed Burr ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at The Rat Hole, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Rock River Rats dropped the game, 2-0, to the Long Island Ducks. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Burr said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Ed Burr grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Burr is batting .410 with 32 hits, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs, .467 OBP and has scored 17 runs. |
