Torres Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

Fraser Valley lost to the Long Island Ducks 5-2 at Long Island Stadium today, but Emanuel Torres kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Black Bears shortstop has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
"Emanuel has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Fraser Valley manager Casey Ramey told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Emanuel Torres flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th.
