Diaz Batters Ruidoso Big Time Saturday, June 3rd, 2034 Alex Diaz was at the head of a Marysville hit parade today at Mitts Fieldhouse. The third baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Monarchs to a 15-0 victory over the Ruidoso Osos. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Diaz told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Osos skipper John Perry said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Alex Diaz hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
