Takano Belts 5 Hits Friday, June 2nd, 2034 Sandy Springs Spartans third baseman Satomi Takano had a day to remember at The Coliseum today, ripping apart the Rock River Rats and sparking the Spartans to a 17-3 victory. Takano wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Takano told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Satomi Takano singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Takano has 6 home runs and a .375 batting average.
