CLL's Best Player, Boland of Ruidoso Monday, May 15th, 2034 22-year-old Jasper Boland made a few Ruidoso headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Cory Lidle League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 18 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Boland collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Boland has collected 33 hits for the Osos this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 13 RBIs and scored 13 runs while batting .300. |
